Can you believe that July is almost over?!? We have one last trip planned next week, and then it will be time to start settling in to a school schedule. My kids are trying not to think about that too much yet! We’ve been enjoying our lazy summer days without a schedule. Here’s what we’ve been sharing over on Instagram (@tracycalhounblog) this month.
We drove out to Pawhuska on the 4th of July and got to meet the Pioneer Woman herself! If you get the chance to head out that way, make sure and pay a visit to her shop, The Mercantile and grab a spicy cowgirl coffee from her bakery upstairs. We headed back to Tulsa and enjoyed a beautiful fireworks that evening. Our youngest was able to stay awake until the end, but he was out before we made it home. 🙂
My husband and I celebrated our 21st wedding anniversary and checked out a new local restaurant called Amelia’s. It was delicious and I can’t wait to go back! I had the cast iron sirloin and my husband had the bbq pork. The cocktails were yummy too!
The rest of the month has been filled with mornings at the bookstore, splash pad play dates with friends, evening swims at the pool or running through the sprinkler in our back yard, and oh, my son finished up his last day of summer camp at his preschool. He’ll be heading off to kindergarten when school starts back up next month. I’m not sure how I’m going to handle that yet. I’ll keep you updated.
Cheers friends!
