Wowzers! It’s been quite a while since I last shared anything on here with you all. In an effort to keep myself a little organized, I’m going to share our most recent summer travels and then work backwards from there.
We decided that it would be fun to spend 4th of July at our nation’s capitol this year. It was hot, crowded, and we did more walking than I ever want to do again. However, we had a great time and I think the kids really enjoyed being able to see part of our country’s history. We managed to make it to the National Archives, The Natural History Museum, The Air & Space Museum, and The American History Museum. We were also able to make it to the White House, the Capitol, and most of the monuments and memorials.
Our first full day there was July 4th and we started the day off with a parade.
We ended the day with a concert at the steps of the Capitol and then watching fireworks on the Mall.
I don’t have many photos from inside the museums, but here are some of the highlights from around the city!
