I am constantly having clients ask me for clothing suggestions for their family photos. Long gone are the days where families all wear jeans and white shirts. I personally love color in my photos, and the brighter the better!
When deciding upon what to wear for your next family photo session, first think about where you will be hanging your finished photos. You want the colors in your photos to look good in the room where they will be displayed. I keep my house decorating pretty neutral, so my photos are what bring a pop of color. The second thing to think about is what environment are you having your photos taken in. If you’re at a park in the fall and all of the leaves are changing, then I wouldn’t necessarily wear spring pastels.
Here are some ideas for great color combinations if you are getting your photos taken this summer.
I found all of these swatches at Design Seeds. You can find every color combination under the stars on their website. You can even search by certain colors, which is helpful is you already know what main color that you want to have in your photos and are just looking for complementary colors.
